Neoscona oaxacensis

Known in the U.S. as the Western Spotted Orbweaver, this hardy species ranges from the western USA to
Peru and the Galapagos Islands. Its colors are quite variable. These below were among hundreds
in their webs attached to shrubbery outside a building near Sacramento, California.
