At left below is a large female "Monkey-face" or "Cat-face" Spider, so named because of the
face-like markings on top of her abdomen. Suspended above her is a small male. Her
web is attached to the outside of an old building in southwest New Mexico.
The species ranges through the western USA and western Canada.
