Lyssomanes is a fascinating genus of jumpers, regarded by arachnologists as a primitive
form, based on the unique arrangement of their eyes in four rows. There
are over 80 species, found exclusively in the Americas.
This unusually leggy female was seen in Manu National Park, Peru.
