FUNNEL-WEB WOLF SPIDERS

These wolf-spider relatives are funnel-web weavers. They
hide in the narrow end of a silk funnel that fans out
into a web, covering grass or plants. If an insect
wanders onto the web, the spider runs out of
the funnel and along the web to catch it.
